It was more than hot on the rugged and beautiful island of Skiathos. The ceremony was set for early evening as is traditional in Greece but also a blessing as the church was located at the top of a very steep hill with winding paths and many steps. Max ascended first with the wedding party and was shortly followed by Fay and her family. At the very top of the hill Max presented Fay with her bouquet and they walked to the church together. The evening sun shone in through the windows of the tiny Agios Nikolaos Church as the couple were married in Ancient Greek.
Back at Skiathos Princess Hotel Fay & Max decided to keep the decor simple bringing in natural elements from the island itself such as olive branches, pots of basil and seashells. White lanterns were hung in rows above the tables which made for some lovely ambient light once the sun had set. After dinner and speeches the Greek dancing began. It was brilliant. Energetic, loud, fast impossible to not join in. Thank you Fay and Max for inviting me to photograph you wedding, it was magic.
