Elaine and Jonathan’s wedding this June at Eltham Palace was full of good old fashioned British eccentricity. The 95th Rifles entertained guests with a surprisingly loud gun salute under the timber bridge and impromptu history lessons to guests on the South lawn. As regulars at The Blitz Party Elaine and Jonathan share a passion for Lindy Hop which they demonstrated beautifully as their band (the hugely talented 78 RPM) played roaring 30’s – 40’s classics into the wee hours. I think The Courtaulds would have been most proud!
Hoa and Man grew up on The Ferrier housing estate in South East London. They started dating as teenagers at school and both went on to have sucessful careers in The City. The Ferrier is now in the process of demolition and they felt it would be meaningful for them to revisit the site one last time for their engagement session. We walked around the empty blocks of flats as they remembered their shared histories and reflected on how life has changed. We finished the session at their unfinished yet beautiful warehouse apartment in East London. The afternoon was a wonderful insight into their story as a couple and real privilege to shoot (thank you guys). I’m really looking forward to their wedding later this month at Eltham Palace…

Love this shoot so much. Just gorgeous.
A few months ago I received a call from Los Angeles. Patrick told me that he and his fiancé, Maggie, were planning a wedding in London and I found their story utterly intriguing. Actress Maggie (Contreras) had recently enjoyed great success of her one woman show ‘Love Lessons‘, a production inspired by the diaries of celebrated London authoress Joan Wyndham. Through Maggie’s research and admiration she became very close to Joan’s family who kindly opened their stunning home / private art gallery especially for the wedding. Thank you Maggie and Patrick for sharing your beautifully eclectic and bohemian day, I’m sure Joan would be most proud! I particularly loved the fiddle led procession through Brompton cemetery, a most precious memory indeed.
