A few days before Christmas I met with Jen and Aaron at their gorgeous London home. We had a chat over some tea and then headed out to take their big, big dogs for a walk around the neighbourhood. It was a lightly overcast, blustery day and as the daylight faded we ventured out again for an evening stroll around some of Islington’s pretty shopping lanes. I couldn’t imagine an afternoon better spent and in sweeter company.

This wedding is kind of a secret. The couple wanted to treat their guests to a weekend to remember, putting them up at the luxurious Barnsley House and treating them to fun, food, drinks and country pursuits for almost three days.

The wedding day flowed perfectly thanks to the slick and friendly Barnsley House team and beauty was bought to every corner by the uber talented Flowers By Passion.

Throughout the planning stages this stylish, generous and thoughtful couple made it clear that the most important thing about their wedding was it’s intimacy. Just 45 of their closest friends and family in a secluded country house in the Cotswolds. Could anything sound more perfect? No. So in keeping with this I will not reveal names or faces but I hope you enjoy nonetheless.

A special thanks to the happy couple, for putting me up and generally being incredible. What beautiful memories you created for everyone!

Russell and Daniel tied the knot a year ago today. Having both worked in the bridal industry for years (Daniel for the likes of Ian Stuart and Suzanne Neville and Russell is owner of Blackburn Bridal Couture) they were well accustomed to the world of weddings and just wanted their celebration to be simple, earnest and as fun as possible. They kept things intimate for the ceremony at Chelsea Old Town Hall inviting just close friends and family. Then later, at Locale in Blackheath they had a bigger, louder, glitzy party with a festive nod to 1950’s glamour.

Russell & Daniel, your day was so much fun I remember it vividly. Personal highlights include Russell’s surprise (and full throttle) performance of Whitney Houston’s ‘Greatest Love of All’ to a cringing Daniel, sitting next to my all time hero Claire Pettibone for the dinner and watching Ian Stuart swirling Daniel’s mum round the dance floor. Happy anniversary guys, I hope you’re doing something extra special to celebrate xxxx
