One bright Sunday afternoon in early summer Lauren, Glen and myself went to explore Oxford together. It’s where Glen studied and so guided by him we wandered around the quad of  Oriel (his old college), through the medieval streets, past beautiful sandstone buildings with clusters of old bikes leant up against them. Choral music from the college churches spilled out into the streets giving the whole place a feeling of serenity. Then we went punting. I always forget that although it looks like a relaxing way to spend an afternoon it’s fraught with the dangers of low bridges, fast approaching branches and other tipsy punters. The colliding potential is is huge which made us laugh. A lot. Thank you guys for a most memorable meander and punt around Oxford. All in all it was a perfect afternoon.

Sarah & Rob are part of a tight knit friendship circle. Every now and again one of these friends gets married and every now and again I get to photograph the celebration. It’s a privilege to have been present at so many of their weddings. I always look forward to seeing their lovely faces and watching them revel in each other’s happiness for the day.

Sarah & Rob were married this May in the Hereford countryside. The weather was wet and windy but this didn’t dampen anyones spirits (well not for long anyway:) and the first dance to Pharrell Williams’ ‘Happy‘ seemed to be the most perfect song to illustrate a most perfect day indeed. Special thanks to Sarah’s dad who let us take his prized Jag out for a  spin!

Hannah and I were thrilled to be asked to shoot Millie Icaro’s current collection earlier this year. Millie is based in the US so the collection had to be shipped to us here in London. All Millie’s pieces are handmade to order and the quality and detail in her work is truly something to behold. Thank you Millie for instigating this project, you inspired us all with your gorgeous designs and clear vision for the job at hand.

Sophie and Oli were always going to celebrate their wedding at Pentillie Castle. The estate was inherited by Oli’s father after falling into disrepair. After six years of hard graft and renovation the castle and it’s grounds have reopened as one of Cornwall’s most beautiful places to get wed. Sophie chose an elegant colour palette of whites and just the green from some foliage for a bit of contrast. The style was rustic yet modern and Sophie’s relaxed, embellished Jenny Packham dress looked perfect again Oli’s detailed and distinguished military attire. There were lots of touches that added to the days’  relaxed and informal feel. The floral design was shared by both Oli and Sophie’s mum and sister, the cake complete with sugar work flowers was lovingly made by Sophie’s mum and Sophie had hand illustrated their stationery too.

This wedding has a special place in my heart. It was my first wedding back after having Bea and I cannot thank Sophie, Oli and their guests enough for being so kind and accommodating to me and my new family. We had a wonderful first weekend away and photographing their wedding was the cherry on top of a fantastic west country adventure.
